About us
The One Pot Pledge® is a Garden Organic campaign. Garden Organic is the UK's leading organic growing charity. Dedicated to promoting organic gardening in homes, communities and schools, the organisation uses innovation and inspiration to get more people growing in the most sustainable way.
Garden Organic has been at the forefront of the organic growing movement for over 50 years and was founded in 1958 by organic pioneer Lawrence D Hills.
At its headquarters, Ryton Gardens in Warwickshire, Garden Organic manages ten acres of organic demonstration gardens open to the public, and the famous Heritage Seed Library, which safeguards endangered vegetable varieties for future generations. The charity also manages the Organic Kitchen Garden at Audley End in Essex, in partnership with English Heritage.
As well as its demonstration gardens, Garden Organic also delivers a range of charitable programmes including the successful Master Composter scheme, the UK's first Master Gardener scheme and the Sowing New Seeds project. It is also the lead growing partner for the Food For Life Partnership – transforming school food culture.
